The practical details of building your first directory.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You create the directory and manage listings, categories, pages, and branding in its admin.
Where do the first listings come from?
Add businesses by hand or CSV import, up to 100 listings on Free. A ready-made seed set is being built but is not in the product yet.
What happens when an owner claims a listing?
The request enters your approvals queue with the owner's contact details. You decide whether to approve it.
Can I use my own domain?
Your first directory starts on a directoryplatform.app subdomain. Custom-domain setup is available in the platform; check your plan and setup requirements in the admin.
How do I charge businesses?
You can arrange payment directly with a business. Built-in Stripe billing and featured upgrades are coming, but are not live yet.
What happens after the Free period?
One public directory runs free for 14 days, with up to 100 listings and 10 categories. It goes offline at the end of that period unless you upgrade. Paid plan checkout is being connected.
